Went out Lake, a route I did before on the hybrid. It felt like I had a headwind on the way out and this was somewhat proven by the fact that it took me ~15 minutes less to get back then it did to go out. Probably could have upped the average a little if I'd spent more time in the drops, but my shoulders and neck are still adjusting to the lower position and I don't want to keep myself from riding on Monday 'cause I ache.

cateye spedometer & cadence

It has two trip odometers, which I guess could work for legs of a bigger journey or something. Also, it was a pain to get the cadence sensor lined up with the magnet due to the distance between the cranks and the frame, but I used some cardboard to space it out, we'll see how long that holds. I zip tied it pretty tight so my fingers are crossed.

Also bought 2 bottle cages, a pair of gloves and a small under seat bag until I can find a bag for the top bar for snacks.

This trip was all on the road so it was easier to track using gmap-pedometer :D

Today I bought a 2009 Fuji Newest 1.0 It still needs some adjustments, as I opted for a seat lower than usual while I get used to it and whatnot. Figured I'll take a few short rides and then get my first adjustments on it. Great sale at performance right now, 10% off + 15% off. Ran me just over $800 to get the bike, a pair of SPD pedals, and join Team Performance, and I immediately got somewhere around $70 in store credit (which will be used toward bottle cages and probably a small bag for either the new bike or the old one).

Note to self: no matter how short the ride, take water! *sigh*

Went to bank, then continued down to birdtown, and came back. Was aiming for 6 miles, but ended up a little short. Pushed myself really hard, hoped the average would have been above 12.8, but I had a fair bit of head wind on the way back. Would have gone further 'cept for the water thing..

It worked! And was totally rockin. Definitely good for warm weather camping. Got a few ideas to fix up the interior layout for the future, but otherwise worked very very well to get attention, which is what we want at toorcamp and recycled rainbow.

Rented a trailer to get all the parts there, which worked ok, but will have to be tuned for the drive across country.

Destroyed yet another camp pop up shelter, thinking we need to find a better design for the future if we keep breaking these things.

Definitely will have to pack lighter for toorcamp somehow.

Monday night ride in rocky river reservation. Biked from home to the marina to wait for the group to get together, and got help with my front brake...should have got that guys name :) Then was supposed to bike to Uranus, but missed seeing Uranus so I went for close to 10, where I ran into another guy from the group. Then up the killer hill and back home for a much deserved and wonderful feeling hot shower.

Training is under way, if I can do 20 miles at almost 13 average after a day spent being sick and knowing I didn't have enough fuel in my system, just imagine how I'll be in a few weeks when I'm not ill!

My last case loan is officially paid off...that is, loans from the university itself.

Down to 3 loan payments a month, one to DOED for Froggy, one to DOED for me and one to sallie mae for me. The end is in sight?

Just in time for me to talk about going back to school too :P
